At the heart of Caritas de Angel is our founder and head chef, Trinidad Rivera. Working side-by-side with him in every aspect of the business is his wife and co-owner, Leidy. For Trinidad and Leidy, food is more than just a business; it’s a celebration of family, heritage, and the authentic flavors they grew up with. Many customers ask about the name, “Caritas de Angel,” and the story behind it is as dear to them as their recipes. Meaning “Little Angel Faces,” the name is a loving tribute to their children, who serve as the daily inspiration and the official taste-testers for every dish that comes out of their kitchen. Trinidad and Leidy believe that every meal should be crafted with the same love and care you’d give to your own family, and they hope that with every bite, you feel like a part of theirs.

CHAROLAS DE COMIDA / BUFFET STYLE FOOD TRAYS

• Barbacoa de res / Beef Barbacoa: (Beef cooked with steam, wrapped in banana leaves.)

• Birria de res / Beef Birria: (Beef cooked in broth with chili sauce)

• Costilla en salsa Verde / Pork ribs in green sauce: (Tender rib tips simmered in tangy green sauce) or (con nopales w/ stripped cactus)

• Bistek a la Mexicana / Mexican style beef: (beef stripes cooked w\ diced tomato, stripped serrano peppers)

• Fajitas de res / Beef Fajitas

• Fajitas de pollo / Chicken Fajitas

• Tinga: (Shredded chicken in a smoky tomato sauce with chipotle peppers and stripped onion.) Served as build your own tostada. Comes with Sour cream and cotija cheese.

• Picadillo: (ground beef simmered in mild sauce with diced carrots and peas) Served as build your own tostada or on the plate W/ tostadas, sour cream, and cotija cheese 

• Frijoles fritos / Refried beans: (pinto or black)

• Ensalada de coditos (fria) / Cold macaroni salad Mexican style

• Chicharron en salsa verde o roja / pork rinds simmered in tangy green sauce or red sauce: or (con nopales w/ stripped cactus) 

• Bistek en salsa guajillo con papa / Stripped steak in mild guajillo sauce w/ diced potato: 

• Ensalada de Nopales / Mexican cactus salad

All Tacos are served on corn tortillas with self-serve toppings of chopped onions and cilantro, red and green salsa, and grilled onions. Optional upon request: shredded lettuce, diced tomato, and sour cream. Serving utensils, plates, forks, and napkins are also provided.
